Open Service accounts
In the Firebase console, open your project. In the menu on the left, click Settings, then Service accounts.
Settings Service accounts
In an older console, click the gear icon next to Project Overview, then Project settings › the Service accounts tab.
Generate a new private key
You'll see Firebase Admin SDK with some code below it — you don't need the code. Click Generate new private key, then Generate key in the box that opens.
Your browser downloads a .json file with a name like your-project-firebase-adminsdk-ab12c-1a2b3c4d5e.json. That's the file PusherHub needs.
Upload it to PusherHub
Either on the New Application page, or on your app's Firebase Integration tab:
- Fill in Firebase account email — the Google account you use for Firebase.
- Click the upload box, or drag the
.jsonfile onto it. - Save. PusherHub checks the key with Firebase straight away; the status shows Connected when it works.
